Treetopia Zipline + Hanging Bridges Tour
This tour combines a hanging bridges walk with zip lining.
Zipline Tour
The zipline tour at Treetopia (formerly called Sky Adventures) is one of the most popular in Costa Rica. It starts in the upper cloud forest canopy, which you travel to by open-air gondola (tram).
The 2-hour adventure includes a multi-mountain circuit with panoramic views as you zigzag over canyons above the treeline. Each of the 7 cables is different, some reaching up to 328 ft (100 meters) high and 2460 ft (805 meters) long. These variations allow for an exhilarating ride where you can see diverse parts of the forest. After the final cable, you’ll have the option of doing the Vertigo Drop, a 24 meter (79 foot) controlled free fall.
The company’s guides are really fun, safe, and good at making people feel comfortable.
This is one of the few zipline tours in Costa Rica where you don’t need to touch the zipline cable. You can easily hold the metal pulley. This makes it a great option for kids.
No hiking is required between platforms.
Hanging Bridges
You’ll also have the chance to visit the hanging bridges on the same property.
The 1.7 mile (2.7 km) well-maintained trail goes through the pristine, lush cloud forest and crosses 6 suspension bridges.
The hanging bridges are at various heights and viewpoints, spanning up to 774 ft (236 meters) long and 165 ft (50 meters) high.
To see the most wildlife, we recommend adding a naturalist guide ($12 pp) so that you can learn about the ecosystem of the cloud forest and see more wildlife. A guide is nice to have for hikes in Monteverde because it can be difficult to see birds and animals on your own.
